Cigars are one of those items that many people associate with the richer person or the older generation. But today, with more and more cigars being made they are becoming cheaper to buy and more popular throughout the world.
If you’ve never seen one these are kind of like giant cigarettes, but they taste better. They are tightly rolled and dried together in the form of a cigarette. Once dried they become a thick and firm shape, they can come in a variety of shapes but generally most people choose the medium or long-bodied cigars.
The cigar history dates back as far as the 10th century but as the years have past the cigar has came out in many forms and flavors. One can choose between spicy to a more smooth and calm taste. Everything depends on what they are aged in and for how long.
Cigars come in a variety of different colors as well. You might find a dark brown such as the Maduro or something light tan such as the Claro. There are some that are close to being black, green or even a red. The darker the wrapper is will show you just how bold or deeper the flavor will be. As someone just starting out you may want to try something light, just to see if you like it. Or see if you can get a cigar sample before you buy one.
