Her Baby Was Diagnosed as Autistic

I have a niece with a good friend that she has known since Middle School, and I have known just as long. They are now nearing their thirties, and Lisa, the friend, has 2 beautiful children. Her first, a boy, was born 7 years ago, and her second, a girl, is 4 years old. Both children are healthy and happy, but her son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4. Lisa was devastated. Her little boy couldn’t relate to her. He was not responsive to her love, and he bumped his head on the walls when he was over stimulated. We all went to her side to help her with the kids during her time of need. Since that time, between all of us researching and constantly trying to find better ways of getting him the help he needs, we have found the one program that has worked for him. He is a very smart little man, and he has been responding to natural methods without any medications.

I have a wonderful, loving family, and my sister’s son, Dave, has autism. We attend a special group of people with the same challenges we have had and we all support each other. These meetings are held once a week, and the kids love it. It has made such a difference in the lives of the kids and families. We all share our week and offer suggestions through brainstorming sessions. We play with the kids and then the kids play together or independently as they choose. There is food, coffee, healthy drinks, and a gab session of fun and laughs. Our lives are not easy, but we make it with a little help from our friends.
